In honor of Jose Negrete, our family established the Negrete Firefighter Foundation Inc.
Jose was an integral part of the Copperas Cove, TX community from the age of three. A 2007 graduate of Copperas Cove High School, he dedicated himself to firefighting and served the Copperas Cove Fire Department and his community from May 2, 2016.
His selfless service continued until his passing from a line of duty illness on July 28, 2020.
To perpetuate his legacy, we assist aspiring firefighters in achieving their dreams by providing scholarships for fire academy and EMT program training.
The number of scholarships awarded is dependent on the funds raised through fundraisers and donations from the local community.
